Entrepreneurs, product managers, marketers and developers tend to be data driven. As a designer, I love data. it assists in the sense making of businesses, but it can only get you this far.

From early on, I educated our team to put the human in the center by shifting the focus from numbers and funnels to the real life stories that lie in the basis of our service.

This approach gave birth to a side project called Roomer StoriesĀ, where sellers were able to share the story behind their unused hotel reservation.

The project engagement spiked within days from launch, with dozens of sellers posting their stories every week and spreading them through social media. Leading to increase in new visitors and sales.
